Founded in 2018
Drake-Shinaver Employment Services, LLC was founded out of an idea and an observation. In working with clients we noticed a severe need for intensive one-on-one employment life skill development that was simply not being easily provided by many local resources.
We observed this cry out for professional development from our clients and from employers as the changing workforce struggled to keep up with a rapidly growing marketplace and thus our idea took form to do something about it!
Created Out of Passion
Watching clients grow and seeing them develop through successful employment and knowing that we helped bridge the gap between them and their new employers is our passion.
Some of our most rewarding memories have been watching people break out of their shell, become the employee they wanted to be and seeing their personal growth blossom for the first time.
That is what drives us, why we enjoy what we do and why we created Drake-Shinaver Employment Services, LLC!
Who We Are: As with all successful ideas, they are born out of trying to solve a need. In working with employers to place Returning Citizens, we kept hearing over and over the frustrations of the cost and longevity of the contracts when working with a temp agency. We kept hearing that people were not a good fit for employers.
We heard people had to be bought out of their contracts when they did not work out so it was very expensive. On our end we were doing something completely different with Returning Citizens; we were getting to know our clients with a series of in-depth, one-on-one meetings designed to inspire, teach and show them the best ways to become successful in their profession.
We were learning about our clients to find out not only their skill set but what their passions were for life. This way we could find out what type of career would really make them happy.
On our end we were doing something completely different with Returning Citizens that had felony backgrounds and social challenges; we were getting to know our clients with a series of in-depth, one-on-one meetings designed to inspire, teach and show them the best ways to become successful in their profession.
We would spend significant time teaching them basic employment skills such as handling stress, attitude, work place etiquette, management theory, proper attire, respecting your co-workers and taking responsibility. In short, we taught them both basic and advanced knowledge in order to help maximize their chances for a positive and happy successful career.
We were learning about our clients to find out not only their skill set but what their passions were for life. We observed each individual closely and tailored our unique training to the person in front of us! In this way not only could we find out what type of career would really make them happy, but we could also give detailed personality and skill information to our employers.
Because after all if you have a position that really makes you happy then you’re going to enjoy your work each and every day and you’re going to do a really fabulous job!
